Kit Kat.. Translated to "KItto Katsu" in Japanese, happens to mean "to certainly win". As a results, students began regarding Kit Kats as good luck charms and will snack on them before important exams. Same reason I eat Smarties before tests!
The Kit Kats form Japan pictured here are "pirated" in that they are not actually made by Nestle and are knock offs masquerading as the real thing. After a multi-million dollar court battle the Japanese company making the knock offs, Mitsakowizakininja, won the right to continue making them. This is largely credited to the fact that he ate one kit-kat before every court appearance to be certain of winning. ;-)

One Hell of a Survivor
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Violet Constance Jessop. On aboard the Titanic, she was an ocean liner stewardess and a nurse. Not only did she survive the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, she later went on to survive the sinking on Titanic's sister ship, Britannic in 1916. Even more amazing, in 1911 she was on board of another sister ship RMS Olympic which collided with the naval vessel HMS Hawke and nearly sank as well. What finally got her though, was heart congestive failure in 1971. She died at the ripe old age of 82.Surviving two sunken ships, and one close call, I'm not sure if she's extremely lucky, or extremely unlucky. Guess she's in both categories.
Being a Punk Never Pays this Good
Some people just have all the luck. When Movie star, Vin Diesel was only seven years old he made his first debut in the children's play Dinosaur Door. The way Mr. Diesel received the role for the play was in a very odd and eventually, lucrative way. With intent to vandalize and steal; Vin, his brother and some of their friends broke into the Theater for the New City where they were caught and confronted in the middle of their act by the theater's artistic director, Crystal Field. Instead of calling local authorities, she offered them parts in the upcoming play. He remained in theather through his childhood, later on in life he attended Hunter College where he began taking classes for creative writng, which ultimately led him to screenwriting then acting.
So ladies and Gentleman, today you learned that the only reason Vin Diesel is a huge box office star is because of his malicious acts as an adolescence. Just think if he was arrested that day, the Fast and the Furious franchise wouldn't of been near as good!
